Education – Red Bird Mission

Education

Red Bird Christian School serves students in grades PreK-12 and centers on developing the full potential of its students in a Christian atmosphere. The school is operated independently by the Mission and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the University Senate of the United Methodist Church and Christian Schools International. Red Bird Christian School provides quality education to students of the Red Bird area regardless of their ability to pay. Enrichment classes in physical education, foreign language, music, and libraries are available to all students. Christian education is incorporated in the curriculum for all grades. Students may graduate from the School with a general, college preparatory or academic diploma. Many extracurricular activities are available to enhance each student’s school experience in the area of academics, humanities, and athletics.

Dormitory Program:

The vision of becoming the “best school in Kentucky” and inviting students from outside of the Red Bird Valley was cast by Red Bird Mission’s former Executive Director Dr. Taylor Collins. As an alumnus, Dr. Collins knew the value of the complete education and preparation a student receives at Red Bird Christian School. The dormitory program at Red Bird Christian School reopened with a strong focus of complementing the academic preparation, leadership formation, and career discernment that students receive in the classroom.
